EMEA participated at the 35th PLEA Conference

The senior researcher of EMEA, Cynthia Echave, participated as keynote speaker at the 35th PLEA Conference, which was organized by the University of A Coruña on 02 September 2020. Cynthia presented “Livability and Resilience from an ecological approach”, and participated at the roundtable with Helle Søholt and Sanda Lenzholzer. One of the insights highlighted during the debate was how drive cities to implement more people oriented policies to tackle sustainability goals from behavioral change.

PLEA stands for “Passive and Low Energy Architecture”, and serves as an open, international, interdisciplinary forum to promote high quality research, practice and education in environmentally sustainable architecture and urban design. The theme of PLEA 2020 was Planning Post Carbon Cities and it explored the interplay between research, technology and design in defining and planning future cities. The conference brought together designers, academics, researchers, students, and professionals in the pursuit of better and more sustainable environments.
