The CREACT4MED Annual Conference aims to raise awareness of the role of culture and creativity as a vector for employment and value generation in Southern Mediterranean Countries. The conference will showcase the project’s progress and provides a space for incubators, entrepreneurs, policy-making bodies, regional initiatives and international organizations to present their projects and achievements.
Cultural and creative industries (CCI) are proven to be a source of job creation for young people and to promote innovative, sustainable and inclusive growth, but their potential is currently under-exploited in the Southern Mediterranean.
The CREACT4MED project seeks to strengthen CCI businesses and entrepreneurship in the Southern Neighbourhood of the EU, with a particular focus on young people and women.
The Conference will take place online on 24-25 November 2021 and it will be broadcast live on Facebook.
The CREACT4MED project is co-funded by the European Union, under the EuropeAid Programme, and by the Project Partners. It is led by the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA), and project partners and associates include: the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMED), the Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises (BUSINESSMED), the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (IED), the Faculty of Economics and Political Science Business Incubator (FEPS BI), the Med Confederation, Beyond Group, LUMSA University, the Association of Organisations of Mediterranean Businesswomen (AFAEMME), and the Positive Agenda Advisory.
